Saints. Companions
on the Christian journey.
Meet and pray with the saints, the blessed and the venerables. Their lives illuminate ours, and their prayers accompany us.
Patron saints.
Many saints are invoked for specific needs. Direct your prayer to God, and ask for the intercession of the saints, united in the communion of the Church. (James 5:16 | 2 Maccabees 15:14 | Revelation 5:8)

Note: Patron saints can be invoked for many needs. The “specific cause” shown on the page usually indicates what tradition associates with the saint (virtues, mission, history and common petitions) — not a mechanical rule or a guarantee. You direct your prayer to God and ask for the intercession of the saints, who serve the prayer of the Church in Christ, the one Mediator.

The saints are a living part of the Church. Their intercession is real, their lives teach, their prayers open paths for us.
